X Factor's Honey G has a new career and a jaw dropping new look

If you’ve been wondering where The X Factor’s Honey G had sloped off to then a) you’ve got too much time on your hands, b) she’s reappeared! And c) she’s dropped the cap and sunglasses to become…an estate agent.

Honey G – real name Anna Gilford – looked like she’s turned her back on the world of showbiz as the rapper (in the loosest interpretation of the word) has now donned a smart black coat and begun selling houses in St John’s Wood, North London.

But fear not, her plans for total world domination with her music aren’t over – they’re simply on the back burner, as she earns some money after her one and only single The Honey G show failed to set the top 40 alight.

The HG popped up on the ITV talent show in 2016, and stunned the panel with her rendition of Missy Elliot’s Work It. She finished the show in a blaze of glory in a highly respectable fifth place.

Anna, 37, had a one-song contract with Simon Cowell’s label, Syco, which expired quicker than you can say “when I say Honey, you say G”, so she later set up her own label, H to the O Music. Ho Music. Oh dear, she didn’t think this one through, did she?

She told The Sun: “My music dream is by no means over. I got a job because I wanted the structure in my life. It’s not about the money – it’s to have something during the days. It can be quite unsociable. Sometimes I’m not on stage until 3am.

“Before X Factor, I really wanted to get into an estate agent, but I couldn’t get break.”

It’s quite possibly one of the most sensible decisions we’ve ever heard from an X Factor contestant. Looks like she was right – she truly is the realest chick in the game.
