Costel Pantilimon, combined Nottingham Forest and Derby XI – your Reds

It is Friday, which means it is time for another Nottingham Forest webchat.

It has been another eventful week at the City Ground, where Aitor Karanka’s side notched up another three points with a comfortable win over Ipswich.

But, as they prepare for the visit of Preston, they also find themselves with something of a crisis to contend with in defence.

Danny Fox (foot) and Michael Dawson (hamstring) are both fighting to regain their match fitness and, while they may do so in time to face Derby in just over a week, they are not expected to be ready for tomorrow.

While Tobias Figueiredo will not be involved in either game with the Reds, as he sits out the final two games of his three-match ban, following his slightly harsh red card at Aston Villa.

Forest took the difficult decision not to appeal his ban, for fear of incurring further punishment. And, in the meantime, it is likely to mean that Jack Robinson will resume the central defensive role he filled for much of last season at QPR, alongside Michael Hefele in the Reds defence.

While Ben Osborn is likely to slot in at left back.

In the meantime, Forest have confirmed the appointment of Kyriakos Dourekas as director of football at the City Ground.

The experienced Greek has previously worked for more than 25 years at Olympiacos but will now bring his knowledge of European football to the Championship club.

We will start, as normal, at noon. But please get your questions and comments in before then, to give us something to get our teeth into from the off.
