Jesinta Franklin turns heads at Australian Open red carpet event

Leaving little to the imagination, all eyes were on Jesinta Franklin as she stepped out for the annual Crown IMG Tennis party in Melbourne on Sunday night.

The 27-year-old model, Moet ambassador and wife of Sydney Swans Star Buddy Franklin put her best foot forward, showing off her incredible body in a tangerine Dion Lee cutout frock with plunging neckline.

The former Miss Universe contestant topped off her bold look with a new pixie-style haircut, which she chopper just in time for New Year’s Eve.

Earlier this week, Franklin opened up about her mother’s recent battle with bowel cancer, and why she‘s now decided to take a step back for her own health and wellbeing.

Speaking to news.com.au, Franklin said that while her mother Valerie Campbell is now cancer-free, the gene runs in the family and there is a possibility that the model could get it.

“After her reversal surgery we found out that it runs in the family and I am being closely monitored, as well as having a procedure done — a colonoscopy before Christmas,” she said, noting she is now being checked every six to 12 months.

“It’s likely I could get bowel cancer at some stage in my life,” she said.

“As hard as that is, knowledge is power and the more you know, the more steps you can take towards staying healthy and keeping on top of it.”

On the eve of the Australian Open, Franklin was joined at the exclusive event by a string of tennis heavyweights – including Bernard Tomic, Stan Wawrinka, Caroline Wazniacki and Grigor Dimitrov – as well as media personalities Ruby Rose, Julie Bishop and international model, Sailor Brinkley.
