Arden Partners has hired ex-Brewin Dolphin managing director Henry Algeo as head of its new wealth management division, as the firm signals further hires to come.
Arden Wealth Management will offer discretionary portfolio management services, including ISAs, SIPPs, pensions and trusts, to high net worth clients and charities.
Executive director of Arden James Reed-Daunter said the launch of a wealth management offering presents “a great opportunity for wealth managers who wish to work in a smaller company environment to develop their careers and look after their clients in a truly bespoke manner”.
Arden Wealth’s new head Algeo was group managing director and COO at Bewin Dolphin for two years before leaving the firm in 2013, according to his LinkedIn profile.
More recently he has served as chairman of trustees for the Heart Trust Fund and as CEO of wealth technology firm TheWhiteboard.
CEO of Arden Donald Brown, who confirmed the firm has received authorisation from the Financial Conduct Authority to launch Arden Wealth, added: “We see wealth management as an exciting growth opportunity for Arden and look forward to actively developing this new division.”
