A former Love Island contestant has been inundated with well wishes after announcing she is pregnant.
Love Island 2018 gave us loads of talking points – there was the return of Casa Amor, the day the nation asked ‘ what did Adam do ?’ and the shock twist involving Sam and Georgia , but it’s one of the stars of its 2015 series who is now in the headlines with the news that she’s expecting her first child.
Love Island first started life as Celebrity Love Island back in the mid-Noughties before it was rebooted to huge success in 2015. And the couple who won that series was former Durham cricketer Max Morley and Jess Haynes.
And on Sunday, as applications flood in for Love Island 2019 , Jess took to Instagram to announce her pregnancy to thousands of followers.
Jess, who is now engaged to Dan Lawry, wrote “Baby Lawry arriving 9th July 2019. So relieved I can finally reveal this news, it’s been super hard to hide for months I’ve been a bit quiet dealing with sickness , tiredness, bad skin you know the rest but the belly is growing and it’s pretty much impossible to hide now.
“It definitely was a surprise and wow what a blessing this is, I cannot wait to meet this special little human, you are going to be so loved!
“Feeling so grateful and excited to start this new journey and fall in love.”
Jess and Max’s romance didn’t last long at all outside of the villa, with Max dating ex Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby for a while soon after.
Charlotte is now of course going out with another Love Island contestant from 2015, Josh Ritchie, with the pair starring in the new series of Celebrity Coach Trip.
There have been a number of Love Island babies so far – Cally Jane Beech and Luis Morrison welcomed the first Love Island baby back in 2017 and then 2016 winners Cara de lay Hoyde and Nathan Massey, welcomed their first child later that year.
