Barclays customers are facing a frustrating morning with the online banking app currently unavailable and not working.
Issues seem to have hit the service at around 7am this morning with many users complaining that they can’t access the popular way of checking accounts.
Down Detector, which monitors interactions across social media, is also showing hundreds of reports.
The problems appear to be affecting the whole of the UK with reports in London, The Midlands and Manchester.
Complaining about the issues one customer said: “Trying to log into the app but just getting code RP156, so I’m presuming by looking at previous messages that Barclays are experiencing a problem even though their official page doesn’t say so!?”
Whilst another added: “What’s going on Barclays! can’t get on app or website site. Some information from them would be good!!! error code RP156 sort it out.”
Barclays has now confirmed the issues on their website with a notice saying, “We’re sorry if you’re having trouble logging in to our Mobile Banking app – we’re working to fix this.”
